OCTOBER • Beginner's Meditation Retreat in Blackwood

Retreat for the day into an oasis of peace within your own mind. Kelsang Dandul will teach clear and simple meditations to allow us to find the tranquility that is the nature of our own mind.
Meditation on the breath; some simple visualistions based on breathing; mantra recitation; and meditation on wishing happiness for others.
These techniques are ideal for someone wishing to learn about meditating or deepen their meditation experience.
Join us for a relaxed Saturday of teaching and meditation. It starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike.
Details
This day course will be held at the Blackwood Uniting Church (see below for a map). There is an hour's break for lunch. Bring a plate for a shared meal or go to the cafe just across the road.

Parking
There is parking available in the car park at the rear of the church.
Finding the venue
Blackwood Uniting Church is at 266 Main Road, on the corner of Main Road and Coromandel Parade. It is near the big roundabout in the heart ofBlackwood's shopping area, a few minutes walk from the train station. Visit the Metro Journey Planner for routes and times. Finding the room
Blackwood Uniting Church has a number of rooms. The room we use is the Aldersgate, on the right hand side of the main building (circled below). It has its own door you can use instead of the Church's main entrance.
